In an effort to maintain a competitive atmosphere, The U.S. Finals reserves the right to close, combine or open divisions at any time leading up to each event.
All Star Dance:
The age of the competitor as of August 31, 2009 will be the age used for competition purposes throughout the 2009-2010 season for all divisions. EXCEPTION: The cut-off date for the maximum age of the Senior teams will remain May 31, 2009 for the 2009-2010 season only.
Rec Dance:
The age of the competitor as of August 31, 2009 will be the age used for competition purposes throughout the 2009-2010 season for all divisions.
Note: In order to compete in a Rec League Division, the team must dance for an officialrec league sports team (i.e. football, basketball, etc.). Proof must be available upon request.
Note: In order to compete in a Rec League Division, the team must meet ALL of the criteria listed below:
- Are governed and/or affiliated with a YMCA, a Boy and Girls Club, or your county’s Recreation and Parks.
- The team’s main purpose is to cheer/dance for their associated recreation’s sports clubs (i.e. football, basketball, soccer, etc.)
- Official member of the team/league/association they represent.
- Participants may not represent more than one recreation program.
School Dance:
For school teams, the competitor has to be in the grade for the appropriate division for the 2009-2010school year. The competitor must be an official member of the team for the school they are representing.
*If a school district allows for athletes below 9th grade to compete at the "high school level," the athlete is eligible.Proof must be available upon request.
To be considered a School team, all must apply.
- Governed by their associated school’s administration.
- The team’s main purpose is to dance for their associated school’s sports clubs (i.e. football, basketball, soccer, etc.)
- Official student of the school team they represent.
- Participants may not represent more than one school.
